Our Society is a registered UK educational charity, which welcomes a worldwide membership. Some of our members collect and transcribe information about Wiltshire people, which we make available online and through publications. We keep in touch through this website, our quarterly Journal with member surname interests, regular branch meetings in Wiltshire and attending family history open days throughout southern England. Much more about us and membership is in our Members' Handbook and Constitution Constitution handbooks.
Membership is through an annual subscription of £12, which helps fund our Journal, Resource Centre and outreach activities.
Benefits of membership
- our quarterly Journal: fascinating articles and news, plus updates on Members’ Surname Interests
- ability to enter your own Surname Interests. This will be published in the next Journal and be added to our extensive Interests on our website that can be searched by both members and non-members.
- extra data resources on this website
- belonging to a friendly worldwide community with a common interest
