Parish Registers
Baptisms and Burials The Society has an ongoing programme of transcribing baptisms and burials from parish registers for Wiltshire before civil registration. Provided that they were available in fiche or CDs, transcripts have not been reprinted in book form after a period of five years from the date of first publication. However, due to demand, most of them are now being reprinted. The list of transcripts is in our leaflet Parish Register Transcripts and Other Publications. Click on your browser's back button to return to this page. At the bottom of this page is a summary of the available Baptisms CDs, showing which parishes are included on which CD. If Adobe Acrobat Reader is not installed on your computer, follow this link to the Adobe site, where you can download and use the reader for free.
Marriages The Society has not transcribed marriage entries in parish registers. Access to marriage transcripts is through Nimrod Research.
Our programme to publish transcripts too large for our in-house facility is well underway. To view what is currently on offer click here and perhaps add the page to your favourites.
Ordering by post Information on ordering by post is included in the leaflet.
Ordering online You can also order our publications online through Genfair. This link should take you straight to our section within the site. If it fails this link will take you to the Genfair home page, from which you can navigate to our section.
Thanks to one of our members, we can now offer a map of Wiltshire showing its parishes. Follow this link to view the map, which can be purchased for just £1. Searchable map of Wiltshire parishes .
