Wiltshire FHS records on FindMyPast
Many of our baptism and burial record transcripts have been made available on a pay-per-view basis on the FindMyPst website. We have now added the baptism transcripts for these parishes: Chippenham St Andrew, Alderton, All Cannings, Alton Barnes, Alton Priors, Atworth, Berwick St James, Berwick St John, Bishops Cannings, Boscombe, Bremhill, Broad Hinton, Brokenborough, Burcombe, Charlton nr Malmesbury, Colerne, Collingbourne Ducis, Ditteridge, East Kennett, Easton Grey, Edington, Erlestoke, Everleigh, Fonthill Bishop, Fonthill Gifford, Fovant and Ham.

Members Research Interests update
The online index has been updated; some 1,500 records less than the previous update in May, but it does include all the recently joined members who have supplied their interests.

Wiltshire FHS quarterly journal - April 2010 - Missing renewal form
The journal should be with UK members today or tomorrow. Regrettably the journal did not include the renewal form. The printers are, as a matter or priority, printing and sending the form to all UK members who have not yet renewed and who do not pay by standing order. If this is you, please wait for the form to arrive before sending off your renewal cheque.

This edition is about to go to print and should be in the post by Friday 16 April, so UK members should receive their copy early the next week and overseas members in early May.

Members Research Interests - Improved online search
The members research interests facility in this site has been significantly improved. Instead of just being able to search for a name being researched, you can now search for places too. In addition you can search for the interests of a single member, useful for both members and those who want to see what further interests a member might have. Try it out!

Swindon Rates and Magistrates Books
For anyone researching late 19th Century Swindon we have added a significant and free online resource for you. Data from five rates books between 1865 and 1869 and records from Swindon Magistrates 1905-1920 had been extracted by Jean Cole and edited by Rosemary Church. The complete 116 page document can be downloaded as a pdf document. You can also use our site search facility to search for specific names or roads, or just browse the individual sets of records.
