The Register Offices of Wiltshire hold records of local births, marriages and deaths back to the start of civil registration in 1837. Independent volunteers, including some from Wiltshire FHS, are collaborating with the local Registration Service to make the indexes to these records freely searchable via the Internet, with around 300,000 records already available. |
